‘The only thing worse than war is losing one’
- superchroma 3y agoUnprincipled, vile cowards. Tripling down on an unwinnable, unjust war because they're afraid of what repercussions their country may face for starting it if they concede. So easy to call for war when it's not your hand pulling the trigger and killing Ukrainian citizens. Acceptable for them to die in the abstract I suppose!
- ZeroGravitas 3y agoSurprisingly honest responses. I can't help but feel they've been fooled by propaganda though. Their takes essentially boil down to "we lost a bet I was against taking but if we cash out now we'll lose lots of money, so we'll go for double or quits" except with more death and destruction. But even without the death and destruction it's a bit of a poor decision. Classic sunk cost fallacy.
