Isn't the user experience subjective though? For example, to solve the problem of sending an email, all one needs is a set of commands on a terminal. I love this approach, but would this qualify as solving the problem in a way that meets the user experience criterion?
I agree with the thesis of the post, though.
- bb88 3y agoYes! A lot of things could be strung together though a shell and was "good enough". No need to fire up the compiler if all one needed was a shell script with the common set of utilities. (grep/cut/head/tail/paste/wc etc.)
