Similarly, if the US was into geopolitical hardball, then a bunch of Somalis (?) landing anywhere in the US might be at risk. My point stands - injecting oneself into a geopolitical conflict is something I would not do. Bargaining chips might not like their situation. Ask the Michaels, and, perhaps, Meng Wanzhou.
