Does Russia particularly care what India thinks? This strikes me as a situation where Russian leadership will act so as to further its geopolitical position how it thinks best. Might be one hell of a swap and/delivery of parts.
They were braver than I am, flying through a war zone.
- simonblack 3y agoWhat? They were thousands of miles from the war zone! Next you'll be saying the whole of the Continental US is a war zone because US soldiers are fighting in Somalia.
- jleyank 3y agoIf a US airliner landed in Somalia, their prognosis would probably depend on who was in control of the site. Similarly, if the US was into geopolitical hardball, then a bunch of Somalis (?) landing anywhere in the US might be at risk. My point stands - injecting oneself into a geopolitical conflict is something I would not do. Bargaining chips might not like their situation. Ask the Michaels, and, perhaps, Meng Wanzhou.
