- randmeerkat 3y agoI’m increasingly of the mind that AGI _is_ the great filter. For all of human history people have leveraged knowledge to gain advantage over one another. Why anyone would want to create a super intelligent entity, much less be arrogant enough to believe that they can control it is beyond me. That said, climate change is going to get us anyway, so f**k it, let’s give AGI a shot.
