"Another tell-tale sign of Apple’s goals is that nowhere in the press release does Apple even mention the word “headset.” The company instead refers to it as a “spatial computer”..." I'd guess this is because headsets are $x00 and computers are $x000, so they're trying to frame the discussion. Similar with insisting on AR. I assume solely-VR is cheaper to do, and emboldens rivals, so it's in their interest to push AR only.
