Do you mean multitouch? 3D touch went away with the iPhone 11, and I'm still salty about it. The hold-spacebar-to-move-cursor thing is just ever so slightly less efficient than the previous force-touch-anywhere-on-keyboard-to-move-cursor. (But I get why they removed it -- that was pretty much the only good actual use of 3d touch. Elsewhere in the iOS UI, it just made things more complicated, and I was constantly accidentally force-touching things instead of long-pressing them, etc. Probably not worth the added hardware costs.)

No, he means 3D touch, hence the comment saying it would go away.
