I recommend the parent and all sibling commentators carefully revaluate their biases in light of this project as a singular topic. It will greatly benefit the understanding of context (somewhat unintuitively -- the terminology is adopted as lingua franca from a reactionary anonymous amalgam, not necessarily tied to the original intent or event).
- mynameisvlad 3y agoIf the initial reaction from multiple people is “this is a name that has some pretty bad implications” then maybe, just maybe it’s the name that’s the problem, not everyone reacting to it. This would have easily been avoided by… choosing a name that doesn’t have such a storied past.
- Spica 3y agothe name will set a vibe that attracts the specific crowd. since its a new site that initial user base will set the tone of what the web site will shape into.
