Exact same pattern at my AI start-up. Custom Stripe Radar rules seem to solve the bulk of the issues, but inevitably real customers get caught up in the mess as well. There is an infuriatingly high amount of obviously fraudulent charges though with a very low Stripe risk score that only custom rules catch. Thank you to the Stripe team for finally taking this seriously and stepping in to resolve this. My guess is that prior to today, this was never elevated to the proper people for real action.
