A nation of quitters: US workers aren't staying at jobs as long as they used to
- ksaj 3y agoAround Y2K and shortly thereafter, they used to say that the average tech job shelf life is 2 years. Was that actually the case? If so, is it still the case?
- jqpabc123 3y agoLooked at from the alternate perspective, US employers aren't keeping workers as long as they used to. This is a chicken or egg problem --- which came first, the lack of employer loyalty or the lack of employee loyalty? Since the employer is the one in a position of control and authority, they set the tone and the agenda. They started this and they now own it. Workers are simply following employers' lead --- show no personal loyalty or consideration and expect to receive none. It's all just business --- American style.
