First, sorry for the possible derail.
I think even children know that Ukraine is going to pay for all this. Likely through the nose. There's a good chance it will be worth it though, considering the alternative.
I am only saying this because the whole series of news about this starlink not getting paid thing is such an obvious charade. A PR operation. It makes me sad adults are falling for it.
- dotnet00 3y agoI agree that eventually Ukraine would be paying in some manner, as obviously western support (as any other support) comes with strings attached. But the discussion is over getting paid in the current time rather than an indefinite point in the future whenever the war finally ends and Ukraine finds enough stability to be able to begin paying back in some way. Governments can afford that kind of wait, private companies cannot. After all, the west isn't expecting its military industrial complex to provide support/make ammunition by telling them to wait for Ukraine to pay when it wins the war.
