If only the death of self-driving car owners was greatly exaggerated
- simondotau 3y agoIt is greatly exaggerated. I may be wrong, but as far as I’m aware, the death toll associated with Tesla’s self-driving beta is still zero. There are a handful of highly publicised deaths associated with Tesla drivers that misused adaptive cruise control and lane centring features. Such features are available on most new cars sold today. It is unclear whether the death rate from cruise control misuse is actually higher with Tesla vehicles, or if the apparent difference is from differing levels of media attention.
