I don't care what happens to Reddit. The platform has been riddled by insane people since the great Tumblr Exodus and has been a strictly political space since Trump won the presidency.
What I do care about is a possible Reddit Exodus and them coming to Hackernews to censor the living hell outside of their world view. Not every comment section has to spiral into "republicans bad", "boomers bad", "cars bad", etc.
- scarface_74 3y agoIs it really that hard not to go into subreddits that are toxic? I never see any of this on Reddit because I stick to sci fi, Tech, and other non political subs
- Karsteski 3y agoYea I only stick to small gaming and programming related subreddits. Been doing this for years now, so my reddit experience has been reasonably pleasant. Every now and then I end up in a default or several million user subreddit. They are all cesspools.
