First to mention crypto?
Okay, crypto.
I'm of course not suggesting "crypto solves all the problems."
I am absolutely suggesting -- it feels like a lot of the haters of crypto forget how absolutely mediocre of a job everything else does with "money" too.
- bunga-bunga 3y ago> absolutely mediocre of a job Yes but crypto has no customer protection. You make the transaction, your money is gone. Seller screws you? Oh well. Your key was stolen? Better luck next time. There’s no perfect system because we’re all out scamming each other.
- jrm4 3y agoThat says nothing against my point. If the "real thing" has little consumer protection as well, crypto comparatively becomes more attractive. There's ALWAYS risk.
- piperswe 3y agoThe same issues arise when people store crypto in exchanges, crypto doesn't really solve this problem at all.
- jrm4 3y agoI said nothing about solving problems, more the opposite. If the "real thing" can't be relied on to an extent, then might as well go with the risky thing.
