Ask HN: How to keep up with repetitive work as a founder?
I have been working on my Developer Marketing Agency.
But I often fall into the rabbit hole of "developing more understanding" and building systems instead of just grinding and taking feedback from the customers.
This happens both in my personal life and at work.
The bulk of my work is to create, review, edit, or design blogs and social media content.
At this point in time I have templates and systems for everything. So it's pretty much repetitive.
Although I also sometimes get bored. Seeing the high demand for our services I am sure this could turn into something much bigger if I just "rinse and repeat".
I even tried building a SaaS on Sundays just to refresh myself and it helped.
Looking for some advice here.
- ftxbro 3y agoCan you sell the whole thing and make another one? If everything is so repetitive then the ones computing the value of your company would probably love that.
- Vishal19111999 3y agoThat's the whole issue. I know this is the time to milk the cow and I need that money to fund my riskier SaaS startups. But milking the cow is pretty much boring. Not thinking of selling it anytime soon, there's enough growth in it, if I just keep hiring contractors and increasing clients and price.
