- ck2 3y agoNeat but of course 16 minute latency. What are the leading theories for "subspace communication" and how plausible in the next 100 years? Maybe quantum entanglement is the best bet, a simple binary device always spitting out 1/0 and some decoder attached on the receiving end while something able to manipulate it on the remote.
- sethgoodluck 3y agoNot how QE works (or is known to work). You can instantly tell the state of the other entangled particle but you cannot use it to transmit information. Fun idea though. (https://physics.stackexchange.com/a/15289 https://physics.stackexchange.com/a/15289)
- ck2 3y agoI guess the real question is how to violate causality without violating causality, ha Bet that one properly asked would melt down ChatGPT for a minute. But the fact that communications doesn't have mass seems more likely to have a workaround, someday.
- seba_dos1 3y ago> Bet that one properly asked would melt down ChatGPT for a minute. That's fairly off-topic here, but no, it wouldn't. ChatGPT's token generation speed does not depend on what you're asking it for.
