That's a nice idea about code escrow (although I'm slightly troubled by the incentives it creates ha ha!) -- had never heard of that. Do you have any links? Cost to host should be OK, it's basically fire and forget, ignoring any customizations. Requires a bit of expertise if you want to modify things, so maybe that's an issue?
