I use CMD+TAB prodigiously, but only to switch to the previously open thing or the second-previously open thing. If I'm looking for a certain window I use the three-finger-swipe-up, or, if using the mouse, it has a few extra programmable buttons and one of them is programmed to do that. It feels like CMD+TAB was designed to be used for this purpose and not for the more general ersatz 'open an application I know is currently running' mode. But, hey, if you _do_ use it for that, this Witch window switcher seems like a great idea. More power to you!
