CIA planned using women's rights in Afghanistan as way of increasing war support
- 4gotunameagain 3y agoFrom the document: Media events that feature testimonials by Afghan women would probably be most effective if broadcast on programs that have large and disproportionately female audiences. I thought it was relevant due to the sudden and apparent support of Iranian women's rights

- raxxorraxor 3y agoYeah, obviously and not only in Afghanistan. (Not wanting to minimize the publishing of wikileaks, on the contrary, they succeeded where all other news failed, but the propaganda should ideally be very visible to most people)

- coldtea 3y agoWell, "human rights" and "bringing democracy" have since forever been used as weapons, from warmongers not caring for either
