I would say Rust is quite high level. You can write entire, useful programs without once having to think about memory, pointers, allocation, etc.
Of course that won't be true for every program, but it's worlds away from asm.
- Havoc 3y agoAgreed. Rust is already pretty comfortable. Meant it more in the same that asm to rust is a jump and then there is another jump from say rust to python. I’m sitting on the rust rung and wondering whether that was the right choice so surprised people go one step further. (To each their own ofc)
