AFAIK,being "good" is often penalized within the majority of teenage groups, where the majority tends to exploit and manipulate those who behave in a virtuous manner (behave "good"). They may punish such individuals through ostracism, while also maintaining the appearance of "being good" in front of adults. The society around teenagers is hypocritical and influences the hypocritical behavior of having appearance of being "good", at the same time not penalizing antisocial and manipulative behavior. This is, of course, an oversimplification, but when we look at individuals like Musk, Altman, and others who are endorsed as iconic role models it is common for an average monkey to mimic their behavior.
