Tell the fed to squash demand! We can't be having demand for all this new productivity.
Jokes aside, when it comes to programming this stuff will actually have even bigger boosts for people who really understand how all the pieces fit together. It'll make gluing stuff up much less tedious. 14% seems way understated.
- x86x87 3y agoLol. 95% of people out there don't understand what a neural net is. It's all a magic box. In cutting edge research there's probably a few hundred people in the world and the rest of us are in for the ride.
- blurbleblurble 3y agoWell, I meant moreso how building blocks connect, e.g. how HTML, JavaScript, CSS and React work together. For someone without that knowledge the code generators are pure magic. But if you already know how things connect you have a huge advantage. If you're able to say to the code generator "I want to connect this, this and that", you're much more literate in your ability to interact with code generators.
- x86x87 3y agoThat's fine. Point was that as times goes by the abstraction level we work at goes up.
- tsunamifury 3y agoYour joke caries some weight though. The Fed always seems to be doing exactly the right thing for yesterday and exactly the wrong thing for tomorrow. They play technocrat for yesterday and harm the future while back-dating their impact.
