Usually needs dedicated servers, but you should be able to contribute if you use a beefy VM
- stereo 3y agoHi! I'm the OSM Foundation board chairperson. We have a tile server running on AWS, generously sponsored by Amazon. It's quite a big machine, and the budget mentioned would only pay for a few months of runtime. It's currently one of the two tile servers we have in North America, and the fastest of the two by far. https://hardware.openstreetmap.org/servers/palulukon.openstreetmap.org/ https://hardware.openstreetmap.org/servers/palulukon.openstr... https://prometheus.openstreetmap.org/d/Ea3IUVtMz/host-overview?orgId=1&var-instance=palulukon https://prometheus.openstreetmap.org/d/Ea3IUVtMz/host-overvi... https://prometheus.openstreetmap.org/d/wyyzhZKMk/tile-rendering?orgId=1&refresh=1m https://prometheus.openstreetmap.org/d/wyyzhZKMk/tile-render...
