My first journal document has 3700 stars on GitHub, so if you share your thoughts in the open, you can spread your ideas wide. I use GitHub README.md for my journals and journal in public. GitHub I hope shall be around in 10 years. I've had 10 years of free hosting on GitHub and in theory shall have 10 years more. I don't keep my ideas to myself, writing is thinking and improves the world.
