Not to be rude but Japan’s government doesn’t exactly do things for obvious or fair reasons. It does things for the benefit large companies. One reason Japan loves “AI” is because they’re population is diminishing fast and they see real salvation in AI. They’re much prefer to have Japanese robots doing work rather than more open immigration. Sam Altman flew over to Japan and met the Japanese government and it's almost guaranteed he touted the usual trope that CGPT4 will almost immediately push up the GDP. The Jgov, looking for hope and answers got excited. I’m more keen to see what modern more progressive places do.
