Old reddit has been working exactly the same for quite a few years now and I can't remember it ever redirecting me to the new version. Perhaps this happens if you're logged in and have the new version set as default or something?
- nostromo 3y agoi.reddit.com was different than old.reddit.com - it was designed for easy use on mobile. It was recently killed, just like old.reddit.com will be.
- probably_wrong 3y agoI can reproduce it when clicking in the posts of some "best of" subreddits (/r/bestof, /r/bestoflegaladvice, and so on) when logged out - even though you never leave Reddit, clicking on a link will take you to the "regular" Reddit version while the comments remain in "old" Reddit.
