Some parts sounded a bit off until I got to the bit that (combined with a bit of local knowledge about salary levels) made it clear that she is working for a company that offers a "HR person as a service" to other companies, not tech or otherwise especially qualified consulting, as I had somehow assumed. A qualified HR consultant would make a lot more. I'm happy she likes it here.
