  But what is the treat? What is the logical step between gpt 4 and human extinction? I really don't see it - and this is supposed to show obviously that AGI is more dangerous than nuclear war?

  The only thing I hate more than yud gibbering about this is that people listen to him. It's such a convenient misdirection to treat the machines as autonomous beings rather than massive compression artifacts of human input.
