Not going to lie, a direct line to politicians was suspected to exist for old Twitter. I can only see major disadvantages here if Musk return Twitter on that path.
If some are angry they lost their influence, well... death threats are not ok, but there was a time where we had a mature understanding of them if some internet users got a bit emotional.
