- amichail 18y agoDon't you want to talk to famous people? How about having a policy discussion with Barack Obama?
- alaskamiller 18y agoYou betcha! But I would darn hope Obama talks to me about policies because of my reputable expertise on such matters and not because I won American Idol.
- amichail 18y agoFor the vast majority of people, chatting with Obama is not even remotely possible. With this idea, it is but based on merit.
- alaskamiller 18y agoLet's not forget, American Idol is based on merit too. So we're in agreement, there should be a version of American Idol with the prize of meeting Obama.
- unalone 18y agoWell said. I think that, rather than attempting to make a system for attracting people's attention, it's better to try and learn to make interesting, well-informed comments and messages. That way you end up getting attention, but you do it the fair, honorable way, and everybody goes home happy.
- aj 18y agoYou are comparing apples to oranges. A policy discussion with Barack Obama (or any other national leader) is an altogether different matter from getting Michael Arrington's attention. Barack Obama is the next President of United States. The matters he deals with are vastly different and affect people and nations differently. Michael Arrington is not a leader. He has some interesting points but in most cases, he only uses the power he has built up to favor his friends or thrash the efforts of others who he takes a dislike for.
