Liquidity and wealth are entirely different concepts.
And what comprises the wealth of a nation? Is it G(D|N)P? Military might? Control of natural resources? Global cultural influence?
- mr_toad 3y agoThe US government has 18 trillion in fixed assets, ~ 3.7 trillion in financial assets. That’s before you consider the value of control of resources and revenue. Nation states still leverage a lot more wealth than even the largest companies.
