Deleting every reboot sounds a bit aggressive. I used to have a .sh script in a cron job that would move downloads to a separate folder after 48 hours, keep them there for 3 months, then delete them permanently. A couple loops and some mtime checks. Abusing /tmp sounds fun as well tho.
