I’m pretty happy with the Kindle Scribe if you don’t mind being part of the Amazon ecosystem. It supports sideloading epub and PDF fine, and you can use email to sideload files which is convenient when on the road. I haven’t played with exporting the notes yet. The large screen is very comfortable for reading.
