“I’m probably going to be doing the movie with Sony because they’re the last game in town that is just absolutely, utterly, committed to the theatrical experience,” I know going to the movies might have inspired a good bit of the directors I love but I'm getting really really tired of the "theatrical experience" rhetoric. It ain't an experience, it's sitting in an often uncomfortable sticky chair at an odd angle with weird smells and other people's noises. It ain't romantic and ain't like going to a theater production which is an experience. Plus with the added bonus of the occasional improperly setup AV equipment. I would rather they focus on good story telling than some ethereal "theatrical experience".
