I hadn't realized there was a meaningful difference between "terse" and "succinct" except for the negative connotation of the first. A few dictionaries and thesauruses seem to suggest I'm not too far off, and hopefully you'd agree that one wouldn't ask for a negatively laden replacement for a word that was being discussed as being negatively laden. It sounds like you don't think "woke" means anything and is therefore not worth replacing. Is that more or less correct? My recollection was that the parent comment I was responding to recommended that its parent replace the word to avoid immediately having the appearance of bad faith, which is why I was asking about their suggestion for a replacement. It seemed like they might have something in mind.
