Show HN: Zipcode to city, state, Country and lat, long FREE public API
- AnnaMere 3y agoFeel free to share feedback and resources to further improve the service.
- mtmail 3y agoThe website claims "200+ countries", the dropdown lists 104.
- AnnaMere 3y agoWe will fix that, many countries doesn’t have zipcode either. We will update the number, thanks for pointing it out.
- mtmail 3y agoCan you list the data sources? For example if part of the data is from geonames then a CC-CY attribution would be required. "You can see more detailed information about our API's status" There's a link missing. If the service in brand new then of course don't claim 12 months uptime.
- AnnaMere 3y agoI will get the list of the data sources by the end of the day from the developer's team. We will update uptime url with public facing pages, it was removed after it contained uptime alert for internal resources. We will update the URL by the end of the day as well. Thanks
- mtmail 3y agoThird comment. The whole upper section is a copy of https://zipcodebase.com/ https://zipcodebase.com/ I have to call you out on that. Screenshot https://imgur.com/a/kXSHWEt https://imgur.com/a/kXSHWEt
- AnnaMere 3y agoThank you for pointing that out; it is embarrassing to be in this situation, but I 100% accept fault on our end, and I have just sent a Slack alert to the team about it. Thank you
