Show HN: Subscription-based front end development
Seeing lots of design subscription services as well as webflow development but not much in custom software development.
Come from a software agency business and building a subscription-based frontend development as it seemingly possible to productize as opposed to product or backend development.

Would you use something like this for your startup/company? What do you think about the pricing?
- alex_lav 3y agoThis seems kind of absurd. Jira, React, TailwindCSS and "Advanced SEO Friendly coding" for 7200 a month? Seems like, at that point, a normal software contract and/or employee would be a better route. Plus, no tests or QA until the 12k a month plan? I'm not really seeing what value-add there's supposed to be using a service like this, vs. normal contract, hiring or agency use. Definitely not at this cost, at least.
- oguryanov 3y agoThanks for the feedback. This is first iteration of a pricing and it needs refinements for sure. Another point of value is that contract or employee hire is longer, requires sourcing and interviews, and commitment as opposed subscription-services that are ready to get started in shorter timeline. I will think more on the pricing as the feedback comes in. Appreciate your input.
- alex_lav 3y ago> Another point of value is that contract or employee is longer For a contract not inherently, and it's not as though all contracts are 40 hr/week. Depending on what you need, 20 hours a week could suffice. 20 hours a week at 100 an hour gets you just a bit over your mid tier plan, but gets you a lot more flexibility. And you don't have to sacrifice tests or QA. > requires sourcing and interviews I wouldn't let an agency or "subscription based front end development service" develop software for my company without interviews and "commitment". And again, definitely not for these prices. Happy to provide the feedback and best of luck on your business!
