> More than 400 machines with various instruction set architectures have been part of the Dark Frost botnet by February, with the botnet's latest version observed to have Mirai, QBot, and Gafgyt malware source code, according to an Akamai report.
> Reverse-engineering the botnet revealed its capability to launch UDP flood attacks at nearly 629.28 Gbps.
That’s a crazy amount of traffic though, isn’t it?
My home connection has about 300 Mbps download speed.
Which means you’d need about 2000 home connections like mine. But actually even that is a surprisingly low number of home connections.
I guess it’s just a fact that home connections are really really fast today, and my brain has not adjusted to what that really means.
