Cherry-picking is a fallacious argument - I’ve seen it called the ‘fallacy of argument from incomplete evidence’.
- throwaway290 3y agoI wouldn't call that a fallacy because realistically "complete evidence" is never a thing...
- jameshart 3y agoSelecting a subset of the evidence that supports your argument and deliberately ignoring available evidence that contradicts it would be the fallacious argument here.
