We have chosen to discuss things in facebook-like places abandoning good old forums. Probably soon we will finish in impossibility to re-read something 10k pages ago because app is going to crash from out-of-memory and website will give 50x error for spamming thousands times the "next" button.
Gmail and Twitter are just asses for doing that, people uses to go to war or to be jailed in prison (activities which may result in a long time ofline) with no reason to be restricted from their digital lives.
What about Imgur it is understandable because user-generated pictures are always a headache for webmasters.
Probably our hope is Blockchain-inspired forums because I do not want some kinds of information to get lost. For example [1] is an endless well of information about next-gen (in my opinion) bicycle design (user's experience and researcher's drafts), forums like that deserves to live forever with the same users base and with ability to continue discuss something in 100+ years old topics.
