American college graduates can absolutely find jobs. Unemployment at record lows. They just need to be competitive in terms of their salary and role expectations vs others in the market. BTW the real competition here for American tech workers is not the h1b worker who will take any job - it's the LATAM / Eastern European worker with 15 yrs of experience available for $100k, no payroll tax, no benefits.

An American company can't hire those workers without either an H1B or moving the company from American to LATAM / Eastern Europe.

The LATAM worker doesn't exist. The competition is the Eastern European+Asian+Israeli developer with 15 yrs of experience available for $100k.

    Yea. I was being a bit dramatic tbh. Like ik there's a budding developer community in San Jose, CR thanks to VMWare and Brazil has always had a decent technical base!
