I'm not sure how I'd feel about hibernating for long periods if I knew I was never going to get that time back. Imagine how riveting that would be, in human terms, to go in stasis and come out, possibly in good times, possibly in bad times, but half your normal lifespan has passed.. Imagine going to sleep in post-war 1946 to wake up attached to a machine 6 months before y2k.
