However, consider how much do you worsen the experience of the majority, and how much do you improve it for the minority? I think that should factor into this decision.
I think the article is mostly trying to make an effort to inform people of the options available to them, so that when you are creating estimates of the work required to support accessibility requirements, you're not overestimating out of sheer ignorance.
