1000% this. He's looking for regulation in the US that will ultimately protect Open AI because he believes he can get it. He's opposing regulation in the EU because he knows he can't control it and it will almost certainly actually restrict him. It's so plainly obvious and obviously cynical, it's just gross. Especially when his calls for regulation in the US are supposedly based on trying to look out for humanity on a grand scale.
