Correction.
China isn't "beating the world". The world (i.e., The West led by the USA) is beating itself.
That is, accomplishment is a funtion of priority. China has prioritized such things. On the other hand, the USA & Co continues to be obcessed with 20th Century rooted priorities (as often driven by The MIC, Big Oil and other * Industrial Complexes).
For example, while the USA was neck deep in Afghanistan, China was chugging along with other priorities. Twenty years of war can buy you a lot of things (e.g., green energy research). Or not. The USA opted for the latter. That's not China's fault.
I don't doubt China has a long term plan, and that it has empire-y aspirations. But China's current lead (?) in these things is more a function of The West choosing not to compete. The public deserves honesty and transparency about the priorities its leaders picked, not more of the false and cliche blame China narrative.
