Without exception all the folks that are going in on that particular grift are ignoring 3 really critical facts:
1. Segments of the local population are armed as well or better than their security contractors and outnumber them thousands to one.
2. None of the locals are confused about where the canned goods are being hoarded.
3. Heavy equipment is both ubiquitous worldwide and shockingly simple to operate effectively.
- red-iron-pine 3y agoDon't forget that all of the canned goods don't mean shit if there isn't a way to reboot society. Tins of beans in fallout shelters are there to get you though the worst 30 days, and then rebuild. If there is global ecological collapse, who cares if you're stocked for 2 years? Unless you've got a lot of farm gear, tooled for future environs, and lots of people to use them, then you're only promising yourself a slow death later.
