Why Are There So Many Asian American Women Named Connie?

- ksaj 3y agoI used to think I was the only person with my name, since my first name isn't common at all. Then I started getting fan mail, and discovered I had a namesake who had been in a movie with his very famous daughter. I've occasionally gotten family dinner invites, airport and limo itinerary, and so on, basically since the dawn of gmail. I know far too much about the issues in his NY condo building. Once when I tried to explain I wasn't the person they think I am, they re-replied and were like "Well, of course you are!" and acted like I was trying to avoid them. In the meantime, I've actually found another guy with my same name, and we're subscribed to each others' YouTube channels (even though we've never spoken). I wonder if the same celebrity namesake thing happens to him. I'm sure it does. I totally feel for Connie Wang.
