The Crisis at Surrey Memorial Hospital
- brucethemoose2 3y agoMy mother nearly died from a burst appendix waiting hours in the ER with a boatload of other people, in a state far from California. Vets barely looked at our dog during the last few visits, like they were in a mad rush to process a hundred other dogs. They could barely address a single condition (out of multiple afflictions) before throwing us out the door. And I have had other experiences like this, in rich areas, with shockingly expensive looking facilitys. It feels like healthcare is overbooked.
- AnimalMuppet 3y agoHealthcare is overbooked. It was bad before Covid, with business trying to squeeze every last dollar out of doctors. Then during Covid, a bunch of medical people looked at various parts of the insanity and said, "That's it, I'm out" and retired or left medicine.
