Had a similar issue with a RAM 1500 - even if you have the source set to aux or BT, it defaults when turned on to FM radio. Always at full blast too and takes a couple of seconds to respond before you can switch source.

That's the worst, when it turns on instantly but doesn't respond to PHYSICAL VOLUME KNOBS for several seconds. My mother's Rav4 did this.

  That's because they are software knobs. Do you think they're still potentiometers in the analogue speaker circuit?
