They should expand the use of the AM band to include low speed digital transmissions, and make it a standard for data interchange between vehicles and for warning of road conditions, local alerts, accidents, etc.
- johnwalkr 3y agoIn Japan, GPS head units in cars receive such data over FM radio.[1] Nowadays your phone usually provides a data connection to the head unit, but it's still nice to have this official information provided.
